I like those Eliminators. I'm the type that likes the offbrands a bit so it trumps the Mustang for me. Some guy in my smalltown had a convertible Eliminator with a wicked sounding engine back in the day. I know there were a few rare examples built and I wish I had talked to him more to find out more details on it.
I also remember seeing a 73 Challenger in one of the magazines that was also a 999 special order paint car in plum Crazy purple too.Some "non HIP" era cars look OK with HIP paint.
* and at least one documented 999 special order paint FC7 73/74 'Cuda exists.
...which I had a chance to buy relatively cheap

I like the eliminators as well . Also liked the Cyclone it was just a bit different .

A 68 GTX that I bought in 1982
for $350. You can see the price
spray painted on the front windshield.
A originally loaded 440 auto,console,A/C power window,8 track,cruise control 3.23 SG. White with green int,green side stripes.
Trunk floor was pretty rusty then even in 1982
Had a 4 speed installed and hurst shifter from a A-12 RR
A real hatchet job install on floorboard.
Also had a genuine A-12 RR hood on it with hood pins.
I traded the hood and hood pins for a standard RR hood and
a rusty 70 GS 455 coupe that I foolishly parted out.
I later traded the GTX for a 70 R/T charger that I will post pics of
The new owner of GTX was trying to clear clogged fuel line at pump with high pressure air hose and the tank ballooned up
and pushed rusty trunk floor.
He fell out with project and parted it out.
Duster was actually a 318 car that I bought at a flea market for $100 and parted.
The gremlin was my daily driver

Later in 1983 I traded the Gremlin straight across for this
71 plum crazy 383 auto console R/T. It had a mid 70s 440 with blown head gasket.
Previous owner had spun out sideways and hit telephone pole at rear end. Rear end was poking out other side. Door and fender gaps out whack. Front inner apron as bent as well.
Only had 73k miles on it.
Perfect solid trunk floor.
Definitely a fixable car today.

I then took $600 of the $800 I got for challenger dash and bought this beater 70 AMC Rebel Machine. Had a 4 speed/posi with a 343 station wagon 2blb motor it. Ram air hood with tach.
390 motor long gone.
15x7 mopar rallyes on rear.
It’s the car I learned to drive a 4 speed on.
I could not bring it home at the time as I had too many cars at my moms house.
I stored it at friends house were it had gotten ran into by a 71 Chrysler wagon that had lost control on a sharp turn.
I salvaged hood scoop,4 speed and rearend.
This pic was taken on Freitas Parkway in Petaluma Ca in 1983.
Also known as Paradise Rd in in American Graffiti were drag race scene was filmed. It had a checker board start and finish line painted on it then.
Now it’s has a abandoned golf course on it.
