Way back in 1959, an actor named Manny Roth opened a music club in Manhattan, later famous for showing off Jimi Hendrix (at the time known as Jimmy James and the Blue Flames), Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Lenny Bruce and many others.

It still exists, still popular.

Back in 2012, Van Halen played a set. Manny Roth was the uncle of David Lee Roth.
