Also '76. Late Summer. We did a run to Halifax and I had to fly back standby to start the grade 10 school year at 14 years old. (brother 21)

I drove a good portion of that run while my Brother slept. 13 speed x 3 range air shifter.

Wonder the location of this photo? Looks like an Oklahoma plate - 1969 - and is from Tulsa county, but that sure doesn't look like any place in Tulsa to me... Can't read the concert poster in the window either.

Oklahoma City, Paseo?

Mother's started on Paseo as Mother's Rock Shop, OKC's first Head Shop, even before Abextra. When the Cochrans took over and moved it to 23rd it became Mother's Art Decor', emphasizing the artsier parts of being counter culture. They were sweet people.

OK... gotta ask; how did you guys know that place was in OKC? I mean Mr Photon 440 is in canada and Mr DeltaV is in Georgia... how would you recognise something deep in the middle of the Flyover Zone and even know it was on Paseo St apparently?!?!? What am I missing? :)

Actually, Texans are the only ones who can realistically make fun of Okies...
And since we're on the subject, pretty sure that purple 71 Cuda posted above is at the dragstrip in Tulsa...can't be 100% cause I cant see any of the buildings there or any landmarks, but that looks exactly right from the pits looking at the back of the stands towards the SSE. The car has a Texas plate, but this is definitely NOT Green Valley, HRP or Amarillo, the only ones I'm familiar with, and sure looks like Tulsa. Plus the pits are full of Chevrolet pickups, which would fit also. :) [yeah, Im originally from Tulsa, so I kinda know and recognise this stuff...]

I still wanna know how those guys went directly to knowing that SuperBee was in front of an esoteric business in OKC... Teach me your magic please!
