My first Mopar muscle car, circa.1981. WS23L9, factory X9,X9 N96 White Interior console buckets, white stripe numbers matching car.
The only magnum 500's available at the time were Ford 15 x 7's but I didn't care, I wanted the magnum 500 and redline tire look.
I loved that R/T. Had I known the resto market would have taken off the way it did, I would have kept that one. Even had the broadcast sheet and data plate.
My most recent " it followed me home Mopar" 68 Coronet R/T out of Tennessee I believe originally....anyone have any info on this car?
I was following the car on Marketplace for 3 mos. (about 1 1/2 yrs .ago)... finally the price came down to where it spoke to me.
Very cool 1980's attempt at a resto, lacquer paint, black highlights, and gold metallic JJ1 paint. I contacted the Tennessee DMV and they told me to fill out a
vehicle search request form, and explain why I am trying to obtain info on this car? I explained its for historical purposes, and that I'm trying to locate the selling dealership,
and also, trying to locate my original engine along with any documentation I could muster up.
I sent the document in, with a $15.00 fee. A week later, I get an email stating that my reason is not in compliance with the federal privacy act
and no previous owner history or vehicle history can be provided for my inquiry. When I asked about returning my $15.00 check,? they said sorry for the inconvenience,
but fee's are not refundable. Really? such is life...
