for the Blade: 1969, 2000 miles, 302, 1 of 400.

is it ford powered like the pantera ?
Yeah, but SB 302 Windsor for the American export cars. The Euro cars are 289....some of those are Shelbyized w Weber stacks.
Mine was American w 302 & one of fifty with pop up headlights....horrid affairs, I fixed mine in grille nacelle.

Right on Dennis,,Thanks!! I'm thinking that this car is in Germany,,,,,Wolfgang, who did the German Magazine article including me, sent me pix of it. Might be the same car. Apple green seems to be a popular color with last generation of owners,,,,the Kill Bill car was & there is a green one in article I'm in. They also look stunning in burgundy wine w/ tan hydes.
Total production 67 - 71 was 401.
I was a lucky pup in the right place at right time.....the memories are priceless.

I have to take advantage of this moment. 8MA-1148....a 1970....showed 1100 miles on clock when I bought in 1979....i added a zero.....the speedos read 25 mph fast with the tire sizes available in USA @ time of new, having 225/70 on them which were horribly short.....reason is cars were built around Dunlop Proto-Tipo race rubber which obviously DOT was not going to allow domestically. Hence a fast speedo, so my car had less chance than 1100 true miles when I bought it. I put 235/60 T/A(rear) radials on which were a good bit taller, but still shorter than the Dunlop's. The rear wheel arches are monstrous
45 years in hell's kitchen & this is the only car I ever refinished for myself. Why I simply must get the chop bug done before I cak.
Again, Thank You for bringing this
up Dennis!!

In the nose shot on the first post, that's the owner Wade Ogle with the soda in his hand. He told us that he purchased this car in Austria from the original owner. Not absolutely sure. Said it is a 302 with some mods on the engine, but has all original parts. Also elaborated on the early Shelby aspect. Said the original owner modified the seat tracks to give more headroom.

deTomaso had no solid rhyme & reason to production,,so I'm sure 302's made it in some Euro cars. Things got dropped during production cuz He was on such a shoestring....like the gills behind third window were functional intakes, later dropped & dummied.....the water drainage system was complex. Very early cars had functional wind wing vent windows that became fixed. The cars also relied on donor parts....spindles & ball joints were Fiat 124.....door buttons & taillights were Fiat 850. My car had a Ford windshield wiper motor, my Brother's had a Saab motor. One Goose built for Bill Mitchell had a factory installed, special Zora Corvette 327. 4 bolt main block with 327 innards. Cars are somewhat enigmatic.....amazing deTomaso got em by DOT. That's why fifty US cars had flip up headlights....DOT's mandate to pick up headlight beams. Ruling came in middle of production run.

Yes, and I met him yesterday.
Cool Man.....when You meet again, show Him the magazine. The green Goose in article has heated defroster glass(wire embedded) in rear clamshells/wings. Something I've never seen on another one before.
Lol...one of these days I'll come across someone who reads German so I can get a translation of article.
