Anyone have a photo, from the top looking down, of an an original master cylinder cover (lid) on a 71 B-body they can share? Power brake unit. This one is a Charger RT. Thanks!

I replaced the lid on mine a few years ago cause the gasket kept leaking. I bought a replacement master cylinder from Napa just to get a new lid and gasket.

Replacement lid on original master installed on original master installed my 71 RR.

This is the lid that would have been used on 71-74 B body disc brake master cylinders

There was information stamped into the lids through 1970 model year and probably was on 1971's too, though I don't know when the change occurred to not have anything stamped in the lids.
Here is a picture of a survivor 1970 Challenger where you can see the period correct info about use only J1703 Brake fluid. I have a NOS lid for a 67 or 68 B body disc MC that has similar info stamped in it for an even earlier SAE brake fluid standard that was later updated to J1703 sometime in the late 60s.
Resto Rick has a service where he can stamp the correct J1703 information into a unstamped lid.
Later 70s lids and aftermarket replacements usually have a long narrative stamped in them about using DOT3 fluid, wiping off surfaces before filling the reservoir with clean fluid, etc. A lid with that information on it is definitely not correct for a late 60s early 70s restoration!
