A buddy of mine sent these beautiful pictures from 2011, hope you all like them, very pretty night sky for sure, the shame is in the title of this its said that "some may have forgot what the universe looks like thru clear sky's because of pollution" ( i hope it isint as bad as it sounds), We live in a place that pollution isint a problem, reading this and looking at the pictures i wont take that blessing for granted again.. I hope all of you can enjoy the night sky where you live, its a bad thought to think someday if things don't change in the world, which i don't see it happening we could loose this bit of beauty. To be honest, i have no idea if these are real, but it makes you think and they sure are pretty, My buddy Larry out there says the sky is huge bright and beautiful, someone from there im sure is hear and could maybe comment on the night sky from there.. enjoy!

BTW, I should have said, Larry didn't take these himself, they were sent to him in a email.

Hey mods, i don't have a clue how i clicked on the wrong link, i was putting it in the anything gos forum, Can you switch it where it should be, or not.. this is curious! Thanks, either way..

Unfortunately those are photoshopped but either way they sure are beautiful. I can't believe I've lived in Utah since '07 and haven't been down south yet.

You haven't spent the night out in the SW desert miles from any towns?
Yes I'd say that the pics are enhanced but the last one looks quite real to me.

I'd say light pollution is a big factor where I am. We don't have a bunch of smog or anything but living in a town with the lights on all the time, I don't get to see skies like that. Hoping for better views on next years hunting trip.

Arch's National Park Moab, Utah....
I loved visiting that place!!!! My wife and I hiked around and looked for Coyote & Roadrunner chasing each other around... LOL!

My thanks go to which ever Mod changed this for me!

There is nothing more awesome than a summer desert night. I really love living here. I travel around 10 weeks a year and aways love coming home.

I love Utah. SLC is the cleanest City ever. I met the group to drive into Vegas in Utah. We were supposed to go through Brice in March. Too bad it was snowed shut. Next time I go to Utah, I will take beer with me. No pitchers in Cafes. It's not California.

Sorry, that's Bryce.

Thanks Ron. Reminds me that I need to take a road trip to the desert pretty soon to get out of this rain.

Thanks Ron, it's amazing what you can see, when you get away from all the city lights or civilization & in the high desert or back country of our great wide open spaces... especially here out in the western USA
