Pilot 1157w LED tail/brake lights

Well we'll see because I did buy them from the cougar website they are supposed to arrive tomorrow let's see if it's a scenario of you get what you pay for.

Put mine in yesterday and I am having the signal flasher problem that others have reported with LED bulbs. I have upgraded wiring and fuse box so I'll be picking up a "No Load" flasher to try as soon as I can get my hands on one

I will say that I went out to the garage last night after dark and turned them on and damn they are bright!!

I would try pulling the amber LEDs out and see if that is causing the problem. Blinding parking light and turn signals is overkill anyway IMO.

I'm sure the ambers are the problem, the rears seemed to work fine. Regardless I have the No-Load flasher on order and since the bulbs are $60/pair I don't want to just pull them out and forget about them

Needed one of these just in case this helps someone else:

Can you do a comparison between your regular 1157's and your new LEDs and maybe post some pictures and I'll do the same when I get these ones from the cougar website which didn't arrive yet hopefully today
And we can compare the difference for other members and we can see if cost makes a difference

I broke damn near every 1157 taking them out or that would have been the plan. I will try to get some night shots of the Brakes and the Ambers at night though for some sort of reference point. I'm sure your cougar one's will be on par

There's also a comparison photo on the first page by Mebsuta of the Putco's vs. Stock 1157's

I pulled my 1157 led's out if any one wants them, went back to stock just couldn't handle seeing my dash light up every time i used my turn signal or stepped on the breaks just too much nonsense.

If anyone wants them let me know I'll give them to members here for free, plus shipping via paypal. Just PM me. less than a pound.

Yeah I read that I think that comparison is between Walmarts $15 LEDs and regular 1157's not the plasma LEDs
