I recently had motor and trans rebuilt , car is a 4 speed but I used a diffrent crank and come to realize the pilot bushing would not fit ! Now I no there is a difference in auto and manual crank , the crank I used is drilled but not reamed to accept pilot bushing , found out that a dodge magnum roller / needle Bering will fit in back of crank ! Have bearing in crank and wondering if anyone has used this bearing looks to me were the trans shft starts to taper up toward splines might b to close to outside edge of bearing ? Any input !!!!

im using the dakota roller bearing in my 440 to viper tranny install

Measure the length of the input shaft vs the length of the bell and check to see how deep the hole in the crank is. Usually, cranks that had automatics were not deep enough for the input shaft and you may end up having to cut off about an inch of it.

I have heard that some cranks were drilled but not reamed ! I measured up to my other crank and is the same depth ! Thanks for the input ! Motor and trans goin in towmarow !!!
