Pitman arm shaft seal installation

What direction do I have to istall the seal?

The side with the inserted spring ring upwards?

Is that konfiguration correct? :

I have never seen spring equipped seals go any other way. The spring assists sealing when the pressure is released (pump not functioning), engine off.

The inner lip(were the spring is) always points/goes towards were the oil is coming from.
