I was looking to see if someone can tell me or show me where the metal wire supports go in the inter behind the dash for the 71 model Plymouth B body. I am referring to the sheet metal brackets the part of it looks like it dipped in plastic or rubber and it holds or supports wires. Thanks!

Ben

Ben,
There are 3 of those sheet metal brackets with the plastic dipped ends. Two of them are located above the glove box which hold the wiring that goes to the passenger door for the dome light switch.
I will try to get you a picture of them.

The third one is under the main one for the bulk of the wiring harness which is located behind the cluster (circled in red).

I have seen assemblies with one also attached to the rear of the HVAC control, sharing the rear holding bracket screw

Nacho, as usual you are correct.
I have that bracket but ordered it after the dash went in the car.
Maybe an over the winter project to install once I get my leaky heads figured out...

Dunno if as usual, but… just mentioning. Don’t really know if ALL cars got that. Sometimes you can find changes from year to year.

My 74 didn’t have it when I bought it, but my car was manipulated on wiring before I bought… until found later an untouched cluster on an abandoned 73 Coronet SW on a field still with that HVAC bracket and the wiring loom.

I think still have missed the one on left of the plastic wiring tray on your pic (above ammeter)

On those days (around 1999-2000) , was really new on this and my learning procedure was trial and error without really a plan with the Charger. Then become member of dodgecharger.com board and rest is history.

Item C on the second diagram above is the one connected to the HVAC control. My 71 has it.
