My only concern left of this 1967 coronet R/T has to do with the fender plate and the Vin plate inside the driver door…
I viewed the registration and it is using the Vin # that is inside the door...

The fender tag does not have the same numbers as the vin plate inside the door ,they both have WS23, but after that it is totally different..

Is this normal? Am I missing something here?

Please help before I pull the trigger on this CAR

Do not believe the vin is on a 67 fender tag.
Bottom row should be
body WS23
engine
tranny
tires
sch production date
shipping order

The long number on a 66/67 tag is the SO number and that same number should also be on top of the core support, possibly under a sticker on the driver's side.

So the vin number is not suppose to be on the fender tag correct?

correct

that five digit number- 06881 (possibly with a few digits in front of it) should be on the core support.

The A10 indicates Oct 10, 1966 scheduled build date. The 5-23, (May 23) would be May of the following spring., an engine assembled on May 23 of 66 will be in a 66' model. Something else to look at.

You might want to check your years. ;)

Yes. He just typed 66 instead of 67. I've done it too.
The "C" tells us it was for a 67 model year car.

That VIN plate looks like the rivets are NOT Chrysler ones. It is hard to tell for sure, but shouldn't they be the hex style rivets?
