Plymouth Superbird The new Look

Oh, the humanity!!

Yall can hate all you want to. You bunch of hatin commies. Those are at least American cars. I hope they make um. I say more power to um. If they make the Trans AM, CHrysler will have to make somethin to compete. So will Ford. Everybody will be trying to best everybody. Might lead to some more muscle cars. Ya dummies. lol

That Trans Am looks damn good even if its not a Mopar. Sorry but the truth hurts sometimes.

Remember...when they first came out nobody wanted them back in 1970 either, today there highly collectible and expensive, personally i like it, like RustRatRod said anything rear wheel drive & MoPar is good news for us!

In 1970, they were purposely built by the factory for a specific purpose and as such, they have a unique history. That bastardized Challenger (and Camaro) were "built" by an aftermarket company for what reason?

To make money. Just like the originals were made.

I'm with Rust on this one, not the best rendition of a wing car, but I'd roll in either one for sure, don't care for the rim selection or stance... I'd like to see the RR, Cuda', AAR {even in a SRT/Dodge chassis}& TA come back, rwd 2 door any MoPar...

If you put a wing and nose on a Dodge,it's not a Plymouth. This is the only correct way !!

I don't mind them. I'm pretty sure the originals got a lot of negative comments over forty years ago as well.

I'd like to see a review of one that Petty Enterprises puts out. They're making 25 of them, both Daytonas and Superbirds. The fun part is the 600 - 800 HP supercharged engines that go with the package.http://www.prweb.com/releases/richard-petty-superbird/pettys-garage/prweb5115044.htm

That was 2011,where are they ?????????????:icon_scratch:

I agree 1000%, :iamwithstupid: if you put a nose & wing on a Dodge it's a Daytona, even much more rare... but there is no more Plymouth brand unfortunately.... atleast they are all Mopar's/Chrysler's still

just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

The overall car is just a bit too small for it to look the part. But then like Rusty says, its something that Mopar is doing so lets roll with it just to keep it going and alive.

I think it would go over pretty good with the Ricers with that giant wing.

They did. I don't know anyone back in the "day" that would buy a Bird. That spoiler was over the top even then and combined with that front nose piece was too much for most muscle car guys - at least in my home area..

That front nose piece was too much for even the racers. In Richard Petty's biography, he mentions that he kept hitting stuff with it and ended up buying a car antenna to bolt to the front so that he knew where the nose was during practice runs.

There is a difference though. Sure they were made to make money back then as they are today, but back then they were built so they could compete in nascar. The only reason the hemi ever made it into a street car is so it could be used in competition. Winning races on sunday sold cars on monday. Now they are just trying to relive the past and cash in on it. Raping the legacy left behind by real cars. Cars that were built, not made. Built for a purpose, not made to cash in. They wanna do something, do something original. While everyone else is trying to live in the past, they need to come up with something new and fresh. be original. They were innovative then, be innovative today. Use that legacy.
