Congratulations to all who were lucky enough to participate in it. There was nothing else like it in that era. Kudos to Chrysler/ Plymouth. I loved growing up during that time,living in Southeast Michigan.

I was an instructor in this contest from 1978 to 2012 in NJ. I was sad to learn the contest was closed down a few years ago. I had first place teams in 1996 and 1998 and we traveled to Washington, DC for the National Finals. Had two more first place teams and we traveled to Detroit for the finals. The Plymouth Troubleshooting Contest and later, the Chrysler Troubeshooting Contest became the Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills Contest after a two year hiatus in 1989 and 1990. Off to look for my trophies and fender covers. Also have some seat covers from the nationals I think.
