Another year, another huuuuge donation to buy much needed equipment for Cancer patients. This was the 13th edition of the annual JA Russell Poker Run.
As a customer, I am pleased to join in and do my part for raising much needed cash. The company matches all contributions, and another sponsor does the same.

I was told by one of the big bosses that burnouts were not allowed..... they are compulsory. ...as usual, I am happy to oblige. :steering:

Some shots of the cars - I get too busy getting my sh*t together to spend much time on pictures....so I will upload when the company releases the photo package this week.

The white Camaro is owned by a friend - he's always whining about not winning anything..... I made him that little trophy from one I won about 15 years ago.....he ended up winning People's choice and a Lucky Dip prize....3 prizes in one show....greedy bastage.
He sent me a text message last night thanking me for the trophy.

Oh yeah....I won the best Poker Hand....I didn't think we had a chance with the hand I pulled.....I was shocked.

Last year the laminated punch cards were introduced to prevent "Gamesmanship" (or cheating as it is more commonly known)

The orange '72 Road Runner started life as a 340 car..... now sports an angry 572 HEMI. :)

The IT man just put this clip together for sharing......enjoy.....

Great event for a good cause. Our car club does charity events each year as well, and while myself and all the members feel good about the money we raise, I personally think it is sad that many times what we are able to give people is just a drop in the bucket for what they really need. I just don't see why in this country as rich as it is we cannot provide adequate health care for our citizens.

Sort of a Snatch Theme Song vibe in that song.
 ...... speaking of snatch..... there was a pale blue (Perry-Winkle Blue) truck parked next to us..... very original and 3-owners....once owned by an Army Vet for some 20 years. Very cool truck in totally original condition....including real patina paint.
