For those of you who are polishing with a power or air drill, you'll do a lot better justice by keeping the tool at a consistent speed throughout. Keep it up fellas.

You are half right. Cream of Tartar is an old watchmakers secret. Literally. It has been used since forever to restore the faces and dials of antique waches. A little on the tip of your finger and rub gently, let it sit for a moment or two and rinse with water. Wont harm painted numbers and letters etc. Makes them look new again. So, i suppose it would work on our metal trim as well. Very good for restoring the speedo faces and gauge faces. Remove from gauge before applying water........lol.Thanks guys, I have been using a buffing wheel in my battery drill, but I think I will need to invest in a bench top buffer. Nice work Propwash and 2059. I want my trim to look nice so I am happy to take my time.

Will look at that. Also, I have heard of cream of tartar and vinegar.
