It's definitely a 3.23, I checked, and double checked it!... How can I determine/know if I have a slippery converter?Are you sure it's a 3.23?
3,000 rpm seems too high to me even with a short tire.
Should be more like 2,600 rpm.
But if it is a 3.55 then it would be closer.
Or you have a slippery torque converter.
Current tire size is 195/70/14... So, yes the 28inch tire I hope to add soon will definitely help the rpm situation! What are those 245/60/14s??
I guess! a 28 will help.
old cars with 3 something gears run high rpm. Just like they did new.
Thanks 66 Sat, that's what I thought too...Error in your calcs Don, the tire is 24.5" (actually 24.7" according to internet).
You've put 25.4" in the calculator.
Ok ran it again but it still doesn't match what he describes:Error in your calcs Don, the tire is 24.5" (actually 24.7" according to internet).
You've put 25.4" in the calculator.
