Poly Stroker project

Sweet, congrats!

brandon64,

This engine is bored to 4.0, stroke is 3.58 using a Callies Dragon Slayer crank. Displacement is 359 inches so not to be confused with an LA 360. You would be surprised at the people that don't know what it is...

Wow very nice ,were do you get the valve covers

That is cool. Any power numbers on the poly?

Gpuller,

On the dyno, 392hp @5700, 392 tq @4200.

Cam is Racer Brown ST-14, CP forged aluminum pistons 9.5 CR, Weiand 7503 intake, Edelbrock 600 CFM, heads ported with 1.96 int/1.60 exh, Mallory 57 breakerless magnetic distributor.

Very impressive! Good to see someone making power with something different.

What did you use for the throttle and kickdown cables / rod to the T'flite? Still running pushbuttons? What differential and r&p?

Thanks.

64plybelvwgn,

Both the throttle & kickdown cable/linkage is from Bouchillon. A727 with pushbottons are still being used. TCI Street Fighter coverter, 742 Sure Grip, 3:55 ratio. Super Stock springs, rear tires 285/70R-15, front 215/75R-15. Exhaust is TTI headers with 3" Max Wedge X-Pipe, SpinTech Galexy mufflers.

i like the idea of doing something different! thats a nice car and a cool project on the engine. my first mopar hot rod was a 58 plymouth with a souped up 318, back in 1967.

I would be able to tell because my 66 Satellite came with one. It is as wide as a big block, yet the distributor is in the rear which gives it away. That is a fairly rare motor. I swapped mine for a 440 though.

That really looks nice ! And that poly looks great. Course I am a little biased towards 63 Plymouths ! Ron

plymouthtime, lewtot184, john.thompson068,

The whole idea was to dare to be different. A standard engine on the dealership floor seldom received respect from car guys.
