Post or Non-Post SuperBee preference

Is there a preference as far as desirability of post or non-post cars on SuperBee's and B bodies in general? It seems there where fewer post cars made but does this equate to a preference or collectability? just curious of what other peoples likes are.

I don’t see a big value differential.

some like post cars and some like hard tops.
Racers used to (maybe still do) prefer post cars.

Hardtop is way cooler, especially since the rear windows on a post car only pop out don't even roll down... However post cars are stronger and less issues with front window alignment.

I much prefer post cars, in maybe 90% of the cases. Stiffer, more solid, fewer creaks and groans, lighter and stronger. (I even prefer the post rooflines to hardtops.

'68 Super Bee was available in a post body only. In '69 you could get one in a hard top. On the flip side, the '68 Coronet R/T was a hard top only, marketed as a "well-appointed" muscle machine.

I don't necessarily think the factory sought to make the sedan bodies stiffer for "racing", it was just a coincidence of the thrifty design. Chrysler was notoriously cheap so if they could save a few bucks over the entire production line by not having to produce and install window mechanisms on some cars they would.

I've wondered why the '68 Super Stock Darts were not 2 door sedans since that was the body style used for the '65 A990 package cars. From an engineering standpoint, a post sedan would make the most sense, especially since Hardtops are heavier. Besides, Hurst would have had to cut the wheel well openings for larger tires on either the hardtop or sedan, the quarters were the same under the roof. My guess as to that reasoning is that was a race-on-Sunday-sell-on-Monday marketing decision because sedans were rather diminutive and likely wouldn't sell near as much as a "sporty" hard top.

I prefer the post for the '65 cars for sure.
Took me several months before I realized that the '68 Road Runner had a "post" version in early '68. Looked the same to me at the time.
Generally the post cars are lighter. To each their own!

I got hooked on post cars after the first one I bought. I just like the look.
This little 63 Valiant was my favorite. Should of never let it go.
