'Texas Pete' hot sauce is made in North Carolina and named after one of the creator's brothers who had 'Pete' for a nickname. They originally wanted to call it 'Mexico Joe' but decided it needed to be more American.

On a side note, of course it would be some fu**tard from California that tried to sue the condiment maker when he found out it wasn't actually from Texas!

I never bought into the hype with that guy, Chevy Chase. He was too dry, too smug for my tastes.

Speaking of actors, Don Adams of Get Smart served in the Marines, fought at Guadalcanal in the Pacific Theater of Operations. His combat service was short-lived; he was shot and contracted blackwater fever, a serious complication of malaria, known for a 90% rate of fatality. He was evacuated and then hospitalized for more than a year at a Navy hospital in Wellington, New Zealand. After his recovery, he served as a Marine drill instructor in the United States.

Mobius strips connect both sides of the original strip into one continuous side that is twice as long as either of the original two sides. They are, thus, used to double the recording time and playback time of continuous loop recording tapes and to ensure even wear and tear of large conveyor belts.

The classic lace-up, waist-cinching corset is endlessly versatile and an absolute mainstay of any Renaissance fair outfit. The historical garment is generally thought of as women’s wear -but it wasn’t always that way. During England’s Regency era at the turn of the 19th century, men’s fashion moved away from powdered wigs and elaborate, stiff fabrics. Dandyism, it was called, came into style in Europe, and the most fashionable gentlemen went for a sleek, streamlined look as ornamentation took a backseat to precise tailoring. Collared linen shirts, fitted trousers, and waistcoats were all the rage. Some "men" still wear corsets today, most of which can be found in the Ford vs Chevy threads...

Corsets for men are now commonly called back braces or back support garments......so, Greg, if you ever need one, just make sure it doesn't have the built in bra! :poke:

In the movie 'Cat Ballou', Lee Marvin was shown putting on a corset before donning his fancy gunfighter clothing.
