Car sees a lot of street time can drive it any where.
Drove it 200 miles round trip to the "MOPARS at Englishtown" show with intentions to just show the car but was wondering what it was running ,rented a helmet from the track and got a time runs in she ran 12.53 @109. no tuning just as I drove it there. 3/4 tank of gas, spare tire, tool box, cooler, folding chair and a classical guitar in the trunk "no kidding" lol was not watching the tach just shifted by ear.Think with some proper tuning and a gear change 3:73's there's a 11.99 in there ;-)
Been a few years since I've been down the track, felt great, and got a 2nd place trophy in my class in the car show & made it home safe. ."It was a good day"
I don't have a local track anymore so if I want to run my car I have to brave the 100 mile drive through Staten Island & New Jersey dodging the pot holes and crazy drivers.
We are trying hard to get a track back here on Long Island but the land is so dam expensive and its the not in my back yard syndrome.
Facebook "L.I. Needs A Dragstrip" where trying hard !! UPDATE !!!! Englishtown Raceway Park just officially closed its 1/4 & 1/8 mile dragstrip !!!! The end of the Summer Nationals. :-(

Very nice, I’d say you can probaly get high 11’s out of that combo

Is 12:1 a flat top piston?

I can say on my 440/493 combo with a flattop piston at zero deck and the 75 CC Indy EZ heads I was up close to 12.0 as it was about 11.8 I believe. I had to run the D-dish pistons to drop my comp to 10.6 and still have quench. Ron

499/400, Edelbrocks, 10.2 comp, 247/255 Comp soild 549/571 lift, 950 AED, 3k tight stall, 3.91 rear on drag radials. 67 coronet 3978lbs, ss springs. Launch at idle, shift at 6k, 7.29 in 1/8th, through exhaust.

That's not bad at all for the combo as that's no lightweight. I believe that's about 11.40's in the 1/4 as I seem to remember running an 7.28 in the 1/8 with my old eng which was an 11.49 @ 116. I believe the mph on my 7.28 was about 93 mph in the 1/8. Ron

I think my mph was 92-92.5

Yes, whole thing paineed Chrysler green, excep the 330hp Chrysler marine valve cover stickers. People ask if it's a boat motor. I leave it in D as well, letting the auto do it''s thing.

That’s great. Same reason I painted my intake and 440source heads on the 451. Just a 383 with a small cam.

Very nice GITEX.

Would have been interesting to see what the cam change alone would do. Your current carb/intake/head can support more power. Cam alone, I bet 10.90s at 123, probably more.

Looking forward to see what she does.
