What's the best replacement for a power brake booster for 1969 Satellite, I have the master cylinder as part of my disc brake upgrade. Just need power brake booster, any recommendations? Thanks.

Is there any problem using the stock booster from the swap donor? I, like the OP, am doing a disc brake upgrade and have EVERYTHING from the 73-76 donor A-body... Including the master and booster.

I would guess it wouldn't work, being the booster may not mount in the right position, and the rod out the back of the booster to the brake pedal linkage probably sit's out or in at a different length, and I couldn't tell you if the A-Body and B-Body share the same amount of pedal travel. As far as the booster, I'd guess the B-Body Bendix booster also deals out a healthy amount more of power assist as well.

I guess you could modify your firewall if needed, fab up a reinforcement plate, find an adjustable rod to work with the A-Body booster and B-Body linkage and spend some time tweaking it all to work. Sure would be easier just buying the booster though....and it's not a guessing game, it will work.

New Booster Installed

Here's a picture of my install from Pirate Jack, I did have to grind the mounting plate and firewall a bit to get the assy. to fit. The diameter on the rear of the power booster assy is a little bigger than stock. Nothing major, one other thing--- make sure you bolt on the linkage before you attach to the firewall, you won't be able to do it from the inside.
