Ok, putting my 72 sebring plus 400 back together and I am planning on replacing the power with manual steering.
Any good reasons not to? I have owned other manual steering cars but never had a big block b body with manual steering.
And what other body styles/years can I choose from for a repacement box?
And will my original pitmam arm work with the manual rather than power box?
I know I need an adapter to lengthen the column to reach the manual box.
Any info much appreciated!

I have a big block 65 C body Fury with manual steering. Years ago, I converted it from power because I have never liked the loose feel of the Mopar power assist steering. I used all factory parts from another Fury. Only change I made from stock was to switch to a larger steering wheel (15 inch Grant wheel - nothing huge). Except for more effort to park, I see no downside. Only way I would consider power assist would be with one of the modern conversions recently shown in the Mopar magazines. All things considered, I am happy with the results and would not change back.

Thanks badvert65.! Well then I dont see much of a probelm using manual on My 72 b body if your fury does good. Will keep front tires around 225/15 and always plenty of air pressure.
Now just need to get the correct combo of
parts. Man. Box, pitman, and adapter?
