Power steering return hose query

So I got a YO power steering return hose for my car and the description says its 11/32; is that inside diameter or outside diameter? I'm replacing the nonfactory hoses for the power steering and currently the return hose is a monster size and the 11/32 return hose is too small to fit the current return hose fitting on the gear box.

Anybody know what size fitting I need on the gear box for the 11/32 return hose please.

Or I guess I could just take the fitting and hose to a hydraulic hose shop and have them find the correct fitting for me.

Yeah, it's id. The return hose was just clamped on, but I don't remember the size of the fitting.

Yes, the hose is merely clamped on, but I was hoping somebody might know the fitting size that threads into the gearbox. Oh well, guess I'm pulling the hose and fitting tonight when I get home so I can pick up the new fitting tomorrow. All these little details to get right before firing up the new motor.

It should be a real hoot working in the garage tonight with the garage temp at 25degrees and outside temp being subzero.
