Just a few quick questions for you guys. My 64 Polara 500 has factory power windows ( about 2% of these cars had them from what I have heard.) Fronts work great. Backs had one that was very slow and one totally dead. Had them both rebuilt at $250 a piece. One came back super fast and the other is still a little slow. Greased and checked all points. I am sure that it is the motor that was totally dead. Just checking to see if you guys had any ideas as to what it may be. There is a pan head screw on the top of the motor that looks like it may be an adjustment. Should I try that? I am debating whether to pull the whole thing apart and send it back for him to take a look or just leave it and say thats as good as its gona get.

If the motors are the same, swap them and see if the slow becomes fast and fast becomes slow. If so, you have binding. If they are not the same, try disconnecting them from the linkage and run them to see if there is a noticeable difference.
At $250 to rebuild, the place should be able to bench test them with a tachometer and tell if they are the same speed.

If I couldn't get it figured out I wouldn't hesitate about having the shop to check there work again, especially at 250 a pop.

rdrunner has the right idea to diagnose, but like others said, at $250.00/ea to rebuild I'd let the UPS man take them back for rework.

I don't think I have even seen an old B body with P/W. Cool!
