Doesn't have to be FCA. Hellcats and Demons don't count. I'm talking about the cars that are cheap right now but will go up. I know 90's Camaro SSes and Trans Ams/Firehawk are climbing rapidly. Lots of people say this M series BMW or that Mercedes will be collectible but I hate that Euro Trash.

I think some of the Mitsubishi Evo's and Subaru STI's will become valuable, much like the Toyota Supra's did. Find one in good condition that has not been cut-up or modded and there is likely value there in the future. Also, the Caddy CTS-V's (especially the 6sp manual wagons).

So - does this include a particular 'version' of rides or do say luxury American cars count? I'm not much of a fan foreign cars; but will say some are neat. IMO, the Olds Aurora from '95 to '99 and a few of the Riviera's might get more popular. I've owned both...but the '97 Aurora I had just looked sleek; had the Caddy Northstar motor great until it needed work. Expensive to repair. I never got tired of looking at the sexy body lines. I'll add another car I had eons ago that was attractive to me - '80 Cordoba. Seems as though this era doba has been overlooked in favor of the 1st gen series. Always thought about putting in a decent motor and some nice wheels/tires. That body style IMO, seemed like a bit of a throwback to some 60's cars. I liked that doba a bit more than the magnum Dodge...just my pin of course.

Late 90’s and early 2000’s Mustang Cobras and the final GTO models.

Late 70's thru early 90's pickups. (Pretty much pre 1994)
Those have already gotten higher than a giraffes ***, square bodies got hot when 68-72s got out of hand.
I had been thinking of pulling the trigger on a couple of earl-mid 70s vettes, 2 yrs ago you could pick a decent builder for under $5k. Last couple of the same condition I have seen have been in the $10k range.

I agree on the JapCrap. The people that drive the next wave are younger (say 25-40) and their dream cars in high school were Japanese cars. So those will be the next fad.

The 3S cars have climbed 300 percent since I got rid of mine 7 years ago. Those being the Dodge Stealth, the Mitsubishi 3000GT twins. Especially the R/T, the VR4 and TT versions.

CTS-V 6 Speed wagons are already off the chart! I was never into the JDM stuff but I know what you mean. I remember when that Supra came out everyone complained about its fat ***. I heard one guy say 90's pre-computer screen cars will go up. I've never had an Aroura but they sound great straight piped.

The old lady down the street has a mid-nineties Toyota Celica. She told me last week it just rolled over 300,000 miles. They look pretty good but they are either FWD or 4WD.

Just something I have noticed over the past few years. Mid 80s cameos, the v8 models plus the iroc stuff, yeh I know chebbies but they have started to take off price wise.

I agree that the 1980-1982 vettes are headed up.

The 1st gen Dakotas are fairly popular and the prices are staying low. Not sure about them but it's getting harder to find decent ones but the ones needing work are dirt cheap while the 70's and 80's full size trucks seem to be heading higher like the Chevy square body trucks are doing. Classics? Never thought a pickup that was built in my life time could be a classic.....

Trans-Am WS6, but they are already fairly expensive?
BMW Z3?

There is an ad for a 1990 Corvette ZR-1 about 400 miles from my home right now.
It's white over a red interior and in great condition according to the seller who is asking about 30k usd obo. If i had the dough i would check it out and also buy it if its good.

Its a classic that goes 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, has a top speed of over 170mph, handles great, looks good, has a/c, cruise control... you name it!
I even have an old magazine article stating its as good as the testarossa and countach!
You can pick them up in nice shape for 25-30k right now but i think these will go up a lot in the next few years unfortunately.

So that's my number 1 prediction.

Even as a german i share your opinion on euro cars being junk. :D

But we have a 1989 Mercedes 560 SEC and while it totally fails in the luxury department (comfy seats, suspension etc.) compared to my buddys 1990 lincoln mark VII and other american luxury cars of the time
it still is a pretty decent car and i'm sure it will go up in value a lot in the next 10 years. (Which is why i would not want to sell it right now)
But to be fair this car performs better on the autobahn than most us cars of the time in stock configuration.

Its also pretty reliable and the quality is there. You cant compare these old w126 with the new junk that they are selling today.

The BMW Z3 roadsters started climbing in value about three years ago. The Z3 coupes (aka: the shoe, the dork) are climbing in value slightly faster than the roadster.

Now, consider a Z3 M Roadster or a Z3 M Coupe. Those are climbing in value faster than the regular Z3 models and the Z3 M Coupe is climbing faster in value than the Z3 M Roadster.

Here's my M Roadster. These come with a 3.2 liter inline six cylinder.
