I would love to see some refinished LCA’s and know what you used to finish them with. Highly unlikely I will do cosmoline, so curious what else looks good.

But cosmo looks so nice, now for how long who knows.

I am looking to paint them. Not a show car. Nice weather driver.

Is that the name on the can? The color?

I just googled it. Is the color "Bronze"?

Ok that is a Aussie thing eh?

Yeah that's the stuff. About $40 for a liter, sprayed it myself. Not sure if they sell it in the US though.

Does anyone know what years used the cosmoline? I wonder if my 74 Charger used cosmoline or black paint?

I've asked this before a few times. I just want to spray paint them. I'm colored blind and would just pick out the proper tone/color if I could tell. I've asked the young fella to come to the hardware store/Canadian Tire to pick out the right color. We never got around to it yet. There has been a few products that is being used but don't ship to Canada. I tried this stuff on a test card but does not dry and is the wrong color. It's still real soft and it's been over a year. I just took that pic and still soft.
Yes I know how can I tell the difference you might ask? Well color blind people can tell the difference in shade and hues so to speak. I did a few tests on line. To determine this??? Plus different degrees of color blindness.

A little aside. I was told by bombardier who was colourblind that they were chosen, because they could pick out deference’s in topography And camouflage netting when making bombing runs over Europe.

Plus we can see like a SOB at night. And the sunlight on a cloudy day drives us nuts. Anybody that wears sunglasses a lot is more than likely color blind. I have two pairs in everything I drive.

Sorry for the hijack. I guess the proper cosmoline is the preferred finish. But Like I said some paint code or can would be nice.
That is all.

I used Resto Rick’s “Quasimoline” on mine.
It’s been on for a few years, and is holding up great!
