Problem areas to look for on a 64 Polara

I always liked the 64's. There was a red 63 at Carlisle last year that had them growing on me too. If I ever finish everything I have now, maybe the last one will be mid 60's.

It washed up pretty good.

Not sure but is the color a factory shade? Reason I ask is I changed the color on my ’63 when restoring to gray. A shade not near what was from the factory that year. Originally white, my brother said I should find a color that pops with the red interior and side trim. The shop gave me 3 huge binders of gray colors to select from – from a dozen car mfg’s. Geez, had no idea how many shades of gray, a lot more than 50!

I worked off a swatch of the red trim placing the swatches of grays against them. Ended up I picked one of the first shades I pulled out (after going through all of them) and it was a 2010 era Chrysler color. Can’t tell you how many compliments received on the color. Anyway, the color on your Dodge pops with me.

To each their own, but if you end up replacing the tires, might consider redlines? I’m ordering a set with the aluminum 500’s for mine as a change up and suggestions from others.

That's a beauty. Yes those redlines would go well with the trim color. It's interesting, almost scary that I was just looking for photos of early silver colored cars with Magnums. And here's one now. Those are sharp wheels.

All of my fun rides and daily driver’s back when had to have RWL’s, yeah old school, so finally dropping for a set of redlines. Dodge sure did it right with the ’64 body and that roofline; don’t get tired of looking at it. Expect you will have lots of fun and kudo’s with your new ride.
