This is my dads chevelle. He purchased it for 11500 and we drove it home with a 402 big block running. He got it professionally painted by a brother of a body shop at a expensive price by a well known body man who does barret Jackson cars.
it’s a big block car from factory by it having its original matching transmission it just doesn’t have the 325 horsepower 396 from 1970. Story goes a father bought the car for his son and his son blew the motor up under warranty. Originally green out green in.. has all SS components sways bars to bucket seats to the airplane shifter or horseshoe shifter.
Originally a Malibu 400 we believe but it’s hard to tell from in 1970 SS was a trim option so 136 cars was both SS and non SS.. 138s prior was SS cars. Plus when dad redid the seats himself he noticed it was originally a bench seat car so goes to show it’s more probable it being a Malibu 400. I’ll get more pictures today sometime.
also the Zr1 from the local show is there in the picture that won first place….
