Yay! My original timeline was to have the car legal, safe, and ready for the road by the first Steelers game of the season, and I made it with two days to spare. And my budget goal was $8,000 and my final total was $5,549. :) So yes, it is still possible to take an old Mopar in fair condition and make it presentable and safe for less than half the cost of an entry-level new car.

I had planned back in February to drive the car to work on the Friday before game day, and that's just what I did.

I STILL say a Florida sanctioned "Steeler Liscence Plate" is needed!
Congrads on an original idea and build!
Man, you saved a couple of bucks huh? Wow...ever think about working for the Obama Economic Development council? LOL!

Cool looks good all you need is I couple blankets to compliment package tray and upper rear seat and the Rooney sticker for rear windows but cool looking

I found this pic that we took in 2007 that shows a reflection of part of that Rooney sculpture but not all of it. Hopefully someone up there can get me a good shot of it at a Sideline store.

good that you finished it way under budget, now you can take yourself out for something special to celebrate. The car looks great sitting outside in the day.

That small touch on your steering wheel looks pretty cool to! No escaping the color of your spark plug wires and cowl vents.. Nice add ons..

Love the yellow plug wires!!! congrats on being happy with it, AND being waaaaay under budget!!!

looked all over for a pic of The Chief's silhouette, and came up empty. i'd go, but im in Chicago...sorry Bru!! lol

did that jagoff topdiggitydog leave his cave yet to snap a pic for yinz?? he needs to get that belvy out n about!!!

It doesn't showup well in the pics (I dropped my good phone and smashed the screen and was taking pics with the back-up), but the gauge faces, steering wheel, roadrunner emblem on the dash, and the PLYMOUTH lettering on the rear bumper were all redone in Penguins gold. The only thing I left silver was the road runner lettering on the rear deck lid.

I see, well i thought the emblem looked like you did something but i wasn't sure enough to say anything.. The whole car looks great and hope you have a lot of fun with it! Living where you are you don't need worry about whats coming up here for us, the inevitable wash wax and cover up in the garage, i myself have a few projects planned with mine so it wont be that bad, i like working on it when i can, and i bought a 410 sure-grip here from a member so ill have that to look forward to this spring.. There's still plenty of time left here to have some riding/cruising fun but, it will go fast im sure :) Enjoy her sir!!!

Nice job. I myself have been a STEELER FAN FOR 27 YEARS PLUS. THE CAR LOOKS GREAT.

That Sir is a great idea! Get a couple of 74 jerseys made up and used as seat covers... so it always looks like there's a Steelers fan in the car... great idea!
