Propane conversion

I looked into fitting a then modern Propane (LPG) system to my Jensen Interceptor (Chrysler 440 R/B + TF727) about ten years ago. What I found out is that most of the systems available at the time, would start the car on gasoline and when running, switch over to LPG. The problem with that was you need two fuel tanks. That limited the range (tank size) for LPG.
At the time the number of LPG Injectors available was limited. That was what limited an “LPG only” system. i was thinking of changing to LPG for running costs reasons (LPG was a lot cheaper then). I quickly realised that swapping the transmission to a modern unit would be a much better investment in the long run.
For example, replacing the 727 (in my case) with a ZF 8Hp50/850RE/51/70/90 etc would make a lot of sence. The TCU was not available then, but it is now with a TurboLamik TCU and a JVX adapter.
