In a deal I acquired some silicon brake fluid in gallon tins. Unfortunately the tins are leaking. I have them sitting in a metal tray. What do I do with it so as not to foul the environment?
I know Silicon doesn't absorb water like regular. Is there anything else to be worried about besides dirt or dust? I was thinking I could run it through cheese cloth or something and yes back into a good container.
According to clearcoproducts.com, disposal of DOT-5 silicone brake fluid should follow applicable local, state, or federal regulations. It should not be allowed to reach sewage systems, water courses, or groundwater.
