PS and how do I tie into the system?

not a '64 but this is what I did on my '69. Disc front, drums rear, I was told by SSBC to put the proportion valve as close to the distribution block as possible and where it is easy to adjust (little black box to the left of distribution block). Has been working great.

It can go anywhere between the distribution block and the rear axle, Mopar mounted it on the frame just under the driver's seat.

Correct me if I'm wrong, which my wife says is quite often, but isn't the distribution block already a prop valve? I went through this on another build when converting to disc/disc. They make various designs, disc/drum, disc/disc & drum/drum which installed with the correct setup removes the need for a manual prop valve or residual valves.
From what I found was that those prop valves are mainly for custom setups not using an oem type block...no added benefit that I saw by adding....Just a thought...

Mike, I think the first year for that style block & proportioning valve combo was 67. Earlier OEM units were just a distribution block.

Happyjackdaddy54, what proportioning valve do you have?

That is the block I installed on my 65, front discs rear drums. As far as I know that is the proportioning valve. Brakes work fine.

I have the type Mike67 shows. I bolted mine to the top of the frame rail. All lines lined up.

Good choice. Happyjackdaddy54, that style makes for a clean and easy installation.
