Not my 1st choice as I was wanting a 33-34 Plymouth coupe but it will do. Was about 3rd down on the list but just to solid to pass on.1929 Model A and don't ask what my plans are cause its up in the air yet. Hoping Nailhead or early Hemi for power just kinda depends on what I find. Was wanting to go fenderless but everything is just so solid I cant make up my mind. So here is the prize. abone 004.jpg

Nice Piece! Will be looking forward to more pics

Lol you should be thinking about new brakes before that HEMI.

What? You mean those old mechanical brakes and steering wheel that moves a 1/2 turn before the wheels aint gonna cut it?Most of the mistakes I made were on the 1st few i built.Going to start pulling it apart in the morning. The car when done will have the look like it was built prior to 1965 providing I can locate enough period parts.

Here is some ideas!

Looks like a beautiful car. I say you restore it close to original - Sell it to an old guy that wants the car enough to take it off your hands for a ridiculous amount.

Then buy a Gasser and Make that a bad *** car.

I've been kicking around what I want to build next and that's one them, I love the idea of a bucket (frame, motor, and a place to sit). Nice find, I don't think I could cut one up that looked that nice. Congrats

Hey, if you're looking at an early HEMI, there is no better deal out there than rustyratrod's. i'm sure you can freight ship it for not much more than $100.

I already have been pondering RRRs Hemi.

And as for the car being to nice to cut,its either a rusty body shell with no title in the 4K range or a restored one for 14k.This one is sorta a tweener and was very reasonable price wise. They made around 4 million model A cars and there are plenty of the originals so I don't think one more rodded is going to hurt.

Yeah I see why some might have a prob, it sure looks clean and all there. But you're right, there are so many of these cars. Millions compared to our cars which are thousands, or dozens, hell some combinations are even less.

4,849,340 Model A's were built between '28-'31.

Pull the fenders off, chop the top and drop a Hemi in it. Don't f*ck around, do it right!

vey cool ride...

I kind of like it the way it is now too. Is that a Ford next to the second last pic with the dent?

Had a '29 A all steel roadster that I might have kept if it had a little more room in it. I could barely get my big *** in and out of the thing, but it was sure a blast to drive. That 5 window looks like it's in great shape. I wouldn't be afraid to cut it up and rod it. Like everybody says, there are lots of them around and always lots of them for sale for very reasonable prices. It's always kind of surprised me that guys will go the fiberglass route when they can go original steel for a decent price.
