My water pump pulley is sitting to far forward, not sure if it is the right pulley or not it was just what was on my car. Engine is a 383, federal power steering pump, and a denso alternator. All the pulleys line up with the crank okay but I need the fan to either go with the power steering pulley or the alt. Please help...

That does not look like the right pulley Eagle. That pulley should be about 2.5" deep back towards the water pump. So close that sometimes the washers for the bolts that secure the water pump need to be taken off for the bolt heads to clear. Someone has a pic around here i'm sure of a stock installed set up.

Once again Prop you cease to amaze me. How the hell do you get so much work done on your car yet you have time to respond to my question in less than a few minutes after I post it. I think I saw a pulley on 440source that looked deeper than mine, looks like I'll be putting an order in. Thanks.

thanks for the links on the shims, we will see if it all lines up when my pulley arrives.

67 gtx cov, I've sent you a PM.

That looks like a factory A/C water pump pulley. If you get the deep pulley pictured above, it should line up with your crank and alternator. Be sure to check your radiator clearance with that fan and clutch combo!
