What is everyone running for push rod length. 440. Piston is 10 thousand in the hole. 240 trick flow heads with a 50 thousand head gasket. Solid roller 650 lift

Its better to check what You need vs random guesses. Buy a push rod length checker and check them. CHECK IT, CHECK IT, CHECK IT then buy what you need. There are videos on youtube if you need help checking the pushrod length. Pretty sure stock length is 9.295 in.

From what I remember, a push rod checker for a stock 440 won't work (too short). The Trick Flow heads are about an inch taller, OP will need a longer one.

I find that hard to believe but I won't debate it. However, "checker" pushrods are available in a vast number of lengths and are not specific to any manufacturer. Basically you get an approximate measurement from your motor then order a set that will cover the range you're in. Be sure to get the appropriate ends - cup/ball, ball/ball or whatever. Its worth noting that not all rockers are built the same so those will play into the equation also.

I bought one from Hughs engines , measured and sent it back to them , they made them up for me , and sent all back , came out 9.400 , ( victor type heads) , perfect , still have the checker ...

Smiths and Manton both round to the nearest .010" when they make the rods for you. That said, when you preassemble the motor to do your measuring, there is no need to waste a good head gasket in the measuring process. Assemble without the gasket then add the thickness to your length when you order them.

So I have a set of 10.100 push rods. Just wondering how close they are to someone build on this site.

Too long for any Mopar BB head that I know of but if the Trickflows are truly 1" taller as someone has said then they may be close. I have a set I used on my Indy's - I'll check the length when I go out to the shop later but I don't think they're even close to 10" long.

One I did had a sft. 590 cam and 440 source rockers - 9.96"
Another had the trick flow hyd roller and comp steel roller rockers, they were considerably shorter

The one I posted will do 9.800 in. Stock pushrods are 9.295 Im unfamiliar with trick flow heads and how tall they are vs stock heads.

8.8 to 9.8

Thanks.Sounds like they will work. I will mock it up and check the pattern on the valve tip.
