Pushbutton Overdrive?

Good luck with Imperial Services. Ordered a conversion at the Carlisle event 2 years ago and still haven't got it. They got my money though. About 8 months ago when I was able to get ahold of someone from there I was told that "Your on the hot list and we will get it out to you ASAP" I'm sure I'll never see it,,, or my money.

Darter,
Any update on your conversion?

The cable operated transmissions through '65 has both a front pump and a rear pump. This allowed for push starting of an automatic car since the rear pump was connected to the tailshaft.

I had read somewhere that the rear pump was dropped because starters had come along to the point that nobody worried about the need to push start anymore. I don't know if that's true or not.

Some (mostly racers) eliminate the rear pump. The front pump can do the whole job.
