props thread on his build is a great one

Stu,Props is a good thread but he used full 1/4s.The way it sounds the OP is using a skin.Nothern Dave has a good thread with the 1/4 skin replacement.I just did mine also and my skins have the top corner with about 1"for overlap.I cut mine right at the top corner and did the welding on top.Very little warpage. The skins are cheaper but there is alot of welding and metal finishing.

I did mine back in march, overlap on top about 1 inch also. There are some pictures on, my 68 GTX resto thread.

You can buy full quarters- they cost more money but may be easier for someone who hasn't done a partial before. They are still a lot of work, but less metal finishing and less chance of warpage.
Buy your quarters first- you'll see where to remove the old when you look at the new ones. Spotwelds are easy to find when you wirewheel the paint off.
I highly suggest AMD panels, they fit very well. Jeff at 521 restorations gave me a great price and fast service- you won't go wrong buying your panels from him!
