God willing we'll be there. Any one else going to make the trip?
Thanks to Bob George Racing, this race has been at QC for the past two years and has been a great event!
I have every reason to believe it's going to carry on with the new sponsor Chrysler Power Magazine.

You guys in the Midwest are lucky. You still have tracks and plenty of shows. I'm originally from Minnesota and miss the culture there. Lots of motor heads, tracks and shows. I live in what you'd think is a Mecca for that stuff. But hardly ever see anything but the occasional small town car show. No tracks - people are afraid the birds would be offended..... Wish I could go....

Good luck KD

I wish, BUT too far to go/travel, unfortunately right now

hopefully it will go on for many more years too

make sure to take some photos or video for all us here...

You know I'll want to be there. I've had a little success the last 2 years.

Come on you and Budnicks need to get right and move back to the mid west. I live 8 miles from the Ohio, Pa line. I have 5 tracks with in 2 hrs of me and at least 12 with in 4hrs.

Thanks Budnicks! You need to take a vacation and come out here for a few weeks. This race is the week after the Mopar Nats.. you can come out and hit them both.

You've taken home a few dollars over the last couple of years.

You guys bringing both cars?

I hear you Kid. I've been trying to get my wife to move back to the Midwest for awhile now. She's a CA girl of tropical descent. When she thinks on the MN winter she gets hives. I miss the culture or fishing, hunting, racing, on and on. I'm stuck in CA. Have to make the best of it here when I get my car back in possession..... Can't wait. At least I'll have that as a reprieve...

That's the plan. I just found a bad lifter, no other damage. Bit the bullet and ordered a set of Isky Red-Zones that are bushed w/o needle bearings. Now I need to win some $ to pay for them. Should be up and running in 2 weeks. On Scott's car we are shimming the hydraulic rollers nearly solid, believe they are collapsing under spring pressure. Also sent his rear shocks out to have the valving stiffened up even more, hitting the tire to hard.

Glad to hear you two are going to make it.. good catch! Bring as many Mopar Racers as you can.

Had the same problem with the Comp lifters... brand new set didn't have 35 passes on them, I had to heat the block with a propane torch to get one of the lifters out.
They problem your going to run into is no one makes the same height seats so you're going to have to shorten your push rods.

I probably should have went with the Red Zones but we ended up with Lunati's (which are Morel's) because the seat was close to the Comps... in the end we still ended up cutting the pushrods.

That was back when my Mother was sick and we were trying to get the motor together so she could see me drive the car before she passed.....:angel5:

I measured my Comps. They match PN#3372-LO-180 Isky's dimensions within a few thousandths. My motor oils through the push rods. Isky has at least 4 different push rod cup heights available.

I don't remember the reason why I didn't go with the Isky's. I know I checked into Crowers and Cranes. Crowers were not even close to the seat height and Crane's are non rebuildable.

It was probably cost... I don't think we could swing the 1200.00 for the Isky's at the time.

Trust me the cost is taking a BIG bite out of my budget. Fortunately a good friend got me a deal and saved a few hundred.

I'll be there sometime Friday, maybe late. Scott can't come. I got the weeks messed up. He'll be in Colorado on vacation. Had the car out Sunday, 1.26 60 ft, leaving harder than ever.
