Putting my 72 back together and I'm just wondering if there is a rubber piece to fit in here, or do I spray some weather stripping caulking in there and place it on the quarter window. I've attached two pictures. Thanks.

a rubber channel fits in the groove there
that press fits onto the window..

I know who to go to next time I need anything :)
I am finding the front glass to quarter window piece for sale every where, but not much luck on the other side. Just sent a message to Classic Industries about a piece that might be the right one.
Thanks again for your help.

believe it or not there are a few on here that know a lot more then i do.
it helps that i own 2 71 runners
i'm always learning myself, that is what keeps my interest

Any automotive glass shop will have that stuff. I think there are a couple different thickness's but they should have what you need.

Went to my local glass guy today, he didn't have anything for me. And I'm not having any luck with Year One, Classic Industries or eBay? Any suggestions on where else to look?

the outer seal is made by metro and sold all over
the inner channel seal
i don't know if its made?
you might have to make something up
or you might have to source some used parts
i would check with Dante's parts or Jeff at 521 restorations
as either would probably know if it is available or not.
both are good guys and very in tune with what is available out there with repo parts.

The stuff you are looking for is a rubber tape. It is called "glass setting tape" It comes in 1/16" or 1/32" X 1.5W I think we used the 1/16" stuff in my 68 Charger.
Steele Rubber products has it by the foot. You wrap it around the glass and tap the channel on to it. Then trim off the excess. Try this site.

Bob Drake Reproductions sells roll of variable thickness at a very reasonable price. Just used the 1/16 inch on my GTX.
