Recovering my 70 Road Runner Buckets. I watched the legendary video and cut the outside foam for the welt. Am I supposed to cut the center of the foam also for this piece?

I've done 3 sets of seats using Legendary stuff - came out good enough for the judges! Not familiar with 70 RR, got any photos of what it looks like when done?
Charger and 'Cuda seats get cut down the center so the listing wire in the center of the seat cover can be hog ringed to the appropriate springs. Getting that hog ring hooked while pushing that cover through the cut foam is no fun.

not my picture. Found on Google

I couldn't really search while loading photos. Isn't there a listing wire that goes in the pocket you're holding up in the top photo? It looks like the same thing with Charger and 'Cuda seat bottoms, push it through the cut foam and hook the listing wire to the springs down the center. Does it show that in the video? It's also good to take photos of the seat when you take it apart. This is not a difficult job, just hard work.

The video doesn’t show the center wire. It shows the one around the outside. But it looks like I should be cutting the center also. Unfortunately the seats I’m using didn’t have covers on them when I bought them. They are out of a 70 Duster. When I bought the car it had 73 Duster seats in it.

That pocket in your top photo looks like a listing wire is supposed to go in there. The only thing I can suggest is to call Legendary tomorrow and ask them. I had to call a few times myself because the guy in the video is too quick and couldn't really see what he was doing.

In my humble opinion, I think the seat will look and feel weird without that center wire. I think the foam is going to shift if you don't but ask Legendary. Sometimes they forget to edit stuff in to the video. I remember that happening with something on the Charger seats.
