I was just curious what the difference between the 71 satellite, satellite sebring, and satellite sebring plus? Thanks

options and money

Good, better, better yet.. fair assumption..

Satellite was the base two-door coupe. Satellite Sebring was the base two-door hardtop. Satellite Sebring Plus had upgrades such as bucket seats, console shifter, Rallye dash, etc.

yup that's been on there several times

I had one of those, but it had a Rallye dash. I wonder if someone stuck that in there after the fact.

No disrespect to Bru or anyone else, but I only want a 71-72. That front end, it haunts me. So freaking awesome.
Agreed on the face. 71-72. One of the best ever. John Herlitz design.

Hmmm. Look what the new owner is doing-

What makes people think that a car that doesn't sell for months and months for 3K, will suddenly sell for 5K after they buy it and advertize it on the same site (with the same pics)?

I have seen lots of cars that don't sell on CL sell for a lot more on EB, but that's a different, larger market.

I was gazing at this one last night http://daytona.craigslist.org/cto/4135718015.html I figure $2,250 in yankee greenbacks would get that car pretty easily.

How about the guy on CL that's been trying to sell that partially assembled 73 Road Runner for better than two years now. I guess he's sure someone's going to pay him the $8,000 or $10,000 he's been asking for in all those ads. :)

it is clearly options...my baby started life as a Satellite Sebring w/ a 6 banger as an option...w/ fixed quarter glass out of Canada.

RE: the 8K disassembled RR with rotted quarters and metal cut out-

You can say one thing about that guy- He sure is persistent.

At least he stopped posting 6 times a day, and is now down to once or twice a month.

Makes you wonder though, if he doesn't see (or comprehend) the running, driving cars (including other "real" RRs) that are very similar to his that are selling (or not selling) in the 6-10K range

The other car you posted is a member.

I wasn't going to say anything, but I agree 3.5 is a bit high, and with some of the issues it has 2.5 might even be a bit high. Both those cars make me feel better about my $1200 rusty 72 400 car with a solid "frame" and cowl, not to mention my Satellite.

At least the seller on that one seems to have gone to great lengths to show the true condition. Kudos for that.

The reason I ask is because my 71 satellite has only one satellite emblem (no other emblems on the car) on the top driver side in front of the hood. I have bucket seats with center fold down arm rest, auto on the column, rear quarter windows roll down, perferated vynle interior headliner, rallye dash/gauges (no tach or clock), factory Air Conditioning, magnum 500's 14", and a factory 318. All look original and not aftermarket or yanked from another car. Not sure if its a standard satellite, satellite sebring, or sebring plus. Just want to know what it is.

Post first five VIN digits.
