I am not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question. It has to do with sheet metal compatibility between 66-67 B Bodies and 68-70 B Bodies. Does anyone know if the torque boxes are the same between the two generations? I know a lot of sheet metal parts are. I am also curious if the part numbers are the same between the two generations and, I guess, within the two generations. The answer to these questions will help me locate an OEM passenger side torque box for a 1968 Roadrunner restoration.

I doubt you will find an OEM box. You most likely will find aftermarket ones available.

As pnora’s info shows, the torque boxes are all the same 66-70. I know the front frame rails are the same too (I’ve got a passenger front ‘66 frame rail in my ‘70 right now).
I’m not 100% positive, but I think only Hemi cars and convertibles got those front torque boxes.

My 68 Hemi 4-speed hardtop didn't have front torque boxes, nor do any of my 66-67's. Convertibles with big blocks had them.
