I recently replaced the underhood lighting harness on my 68 Road Runner. I have one wire (looks to be about 12 ga and black in color) with a 90 degree push on connector that I can't figure out. I'm at a loss and wondering if anyone can steer me in the right direction??

oil preasure at the back or engine heat guage ?

Thank you guys for your response. My mystery wire looks just like the one in the photo above that's plugged into the brake switch. Since my car has Wilwood's with an adjustable proportioning valve, it makes sense that there's no connection available. Thanks again!

If it were the brake wire wouldn't there be voltage inside?? key on? Doesn't switch on distribution block ground the switch when low pressure in either front or rear brakes. Not an electric guy but curious about it.

Yes Fran it's the ground(ing) wire from the block switch up to the dash light bulb. So also yes there is 12Volts + feed to the light bulb and that voltage, less the bulb filiaments resistance, will show on that loose wire when not grounded.
