Questions on Carter fuel pump and line
69 440 fuel pump
Did the fuel line go right into the fuel pump or was there a fitting in between?
Was the Chrysler Part number stamp on the fuel pump?
My car did not have the original pump or line
Thanks for the help

Should be a section of rubber fuel hose between the end of the line and the pump inlet.

What size line from the tank to the pump would a 68 440 hp engine have with 1 factory carter carb on it?

Here is a picture what I am talking about. What is correct? The line directly into the pump or like in the picture has an adapter for the line. I see pumps that need this fitting and some that do not need them. What is correct?

The reproduction "hemi" Carter pump that Mancini sells has that brass reducing coupling
as well (for 3/8" line). The pump itself has a 1/4" NPT thread I believe.

Looking to know what was factory correct off the assembly line fuel pump and line
Anyone???

That one takes the fitting. I just trying to find out what was correct from the factory. I also bought m4434 from the part store the end was so small. I new that was wrong. I also have one the the line screwed right in no adapter. So what is correct?

Anyone???
Do you have a picture of what you're referring to regarding the end being too small? The short hard line threads into the pump outlet then goes to the vapor separator.

Probably the FSM didn't have the correct p/n listed either, but here it is anyway, just for reference.
