Quickor front sway bar help.. anyone have one on their charger?

So in the early 2000s I purchased front and rear quickor brand sway bars for my 69 charger. They went out of business shortly there after. I did reach out and got a response from Glen but he no longer had the install instructions..



(I have the rear install instructions but not the front)


I'm wondering what the odds are anyone on here has one installed? Or kicking around and has the instructions in a box still.

You would think it would be easy peasy but like everything else... it isn't.

One issue is the supplie end links are only like 4 or 5 inches long with no sleeve in the middle.. seems odd where the oem ones are like 8 inches long.

It does seem very similar to the hotchkis setup..

I'll add the obvious here, a longer vertical link only reduces angularity of the mis-alignment of the sway bar and the LCA as they go thru conflicting arcs. The harm is possible bind as the arcs increase, and if the bushings are very tight, as they are way loose in your picture, bending fatigue might set in causing the vertical link to fail, as it is likely the weakest "link", but that would not be catastrophic unless say in a hard turn at speed say next to a semi or next to a cliff, meaning it has little stress in a straight line.
Not sure but your brackets look ill positioned, suggesting wrong SB for the car? A too of long of a vertical link has road clearance/debris issues.
The SB does look beefy.
And I would not install rear bar, until front bar is installed properly and road tested, if at all.
Others may disagree.
These issues may be the reason the company is no longer offering the product?

Yes it is just held in place to be mocked up.

Are you suggesting the links may NOT need to be longer? As far as being obvious, it may be to you but not to me..

And yeah good possibility why they are gone.. hotchkis kit looks very similar and overhangs the front of the k-frame as well but they do use longer vertical links..

Are you suggesting the links may NOT need to be longer? As far as being obvious, it may be to you but not to me.. The obvious part to me is an air gap I see not length.

And yeah good possibility why they are gone.. hotchkis kit looks very similar and overhangs the front of the k-frame as well but they do use longer vertical links.. A way to spot bind would be to remove both TB. and one link, and cycle thru one full arc of the connected LCA and see if any significant bind occurs (if seen it will only 1/2 total bind btw), and low hanging linkage makes me nervous.

Why would you not want the rear sway bar? That discussion will sink this thread, trust me.
There is no harm that I can see by doing front first, and rear later after a bit of some seat time

Got it! Thanks for all the help.. needed longer end links and then it ligned up where the factory bar mounted. I did add one spot weld on each where I could not add a bolt.
