I am trying to find how far from the back edge of the hood do I place the back edge of the R023 scoop on my 66 Belvedere.
Does anyone have a template or know what the distance is?
Thanks

Those scoops on the 66-67 cars go all the way back to the edge. We make those scoops and we race them too, here at Sled City. That scoop would be $310 to your door. Free shipping

If I'm not mistaken, the rear edge of hood scoop does not go to the edge of hood, there is about 1/2" of hood left

I believe you are correct. They are very close but not on the edge.

Thanks for the input, I am still not sure where to mount my scoop. I guess I will see if at the edge or just off the edge looks best.
Thanks again everyone.

Is this a metal scoop, or a fiberglass scoop. 100 point restoration? Where did you get the scoop, ask them your question. I guess I could go out and measure the real R-O car and give you how many thousands of an inch it is actually away from the back of the hood. It was installed in 1967 by Mother Mopar, not in the last 10 years by a Mopar Restoration shop. But what is 1/2 inch when it is only a clone. 3 inches is dead wrong and everyone would be telling you that. I am glad nobody told you that.

Glassman, I believe it is a Glasstek fiberglass scoop I bought second hand, it is going on a 66 Belvedere II street/strip car.
