I use it for cooling down my air intake charge on my supercharged Lincoln , I mix 50/50 water and methanol. It sprays in to the intake after the supercharger, Compressing the air makes it hot , almost 200 degrees , so I need to cool it down as much as possible to make any power , my car is fuel injected but cool air is good air even for a carbureted engine. I am assuming you have a cold air hood scoop with your 6 pack so it may not be a huge gain, typically just over ambient temp is what your engine is ingesting. The fuel vaporizing after the carburetor is doing the same thing (removing heat) as the alcohol/water mix does. most blown carbureted cars rely on that principle and it is why many use E85 (more alcohol more vaporization). Spraying the alcohol/water mix may improve power due to the alcohol burned as an additional fuel and also from cooling down the air charge. You may have to re-jet the carbs depending on how much you are spraying. Unless you are having detonation or ping I don't see the added cost versus running the premium fuel. Good Luck !
