Race jacket?

What is the magic number where racing jackets are needed?Do I need a multi layered jacket or will a single layer be good enough?

faster than 11.50 and a single layer is required. going faster than 10.0 meaning 9.99 or faster a double layer is required and then thats a whole nuther ball game.

NO PROBLEM, GET OUT THERE HAVE FUN AND BE SAFE.
ALSO do yourself a favor and buy a nice pair of racing shoes. better for throttle feel and safe if something comes through the floor, like a ring gear or a nice sharp HOT tranny part.
