RAM TRX

I tested them for Dodge before they came out. Just about 100 hours in them so no long-term stuff.

My friend has two of them.

I really, really want one, but not at $90k+ - $100k+

I think my buddy paid 115k that included some type of premium fee?

Shiiiitt....$90k is an average truck price these days. I work at a GMC dealer (service), and ANY Duramax HD truck starts in the mid-90s. I have less than that invested (total) in my rental duplex!

Which is why I'm going to keep running my (paid for!) '01 Cummins 2500. That, and you can't get anything new with 3 pedals anymore.

Don't get me wrong, they're a bad-*** truck and if someone forced me to take one, I'd suffer through endless donuts and power slides....but unless I get a winning ticket, I don't see myself buying anything new, anytime soon.

He bought the grey one first, and it is a limited edition, so he doesn't want to modify it, so he bought the white one so he can do mods to it. He has a redeye Challenger Hellcat wide body too. Some people know how to live!

I don't have a trx but that 6.2 engine will put a grin on your face every time. Even my 2 year old says "push hard daddy" when we go for a drive.

I wonder how the engine holds up after miles, say 50-60thou? Especially the supercharger

Not TRX or modern related but this brought back memories of my 2-3 year old daughter riding in her car seat in my 71 340 4-speed Demon saying "Make it go daddy, make it go!" as I was shifting threw the gears.

You have a Hellcat?
Yes I do. I have 84k on mine. I haven't put most of those miles on it but it's never been rebuilt either and I haven't had a single problem yet with the engine. The way it drives and the rpms it lives at 90% of the time I think this engine will go for 200k or more. I've seen a several with over 100k and the highest I saw was 130k. Supercharger issues seem to be limited to 2015 and 2016 engines (specific letter range in the part number of the supercharger actually). I really think this engine was designed and built like a brick **** house. I've never been a fan of modifying engines or tunes on a daily driver and I think if you stay away from all that it will last a really long time even with some spirited driving.
